Resources at Queen's

University life can be overwhelming at times. We understand that it is difficult to juggle so many different things at once. However, there are a ton of resources at Queen’s to help you out! We have listed a few below that can help you that can do so in a time of need. Don’t be afraid to reach out for help when necessary! We are here to help.

Peer Support Centre
A group of student volunteers who provide welcoming, confidential, and empathetic peer-based support to other Queen's students.
 Found in lower floor of JDUC.
 Open 7 days a week, from noon until 10pm.

Student Wellness Services - Counselling Services
Counselling Services supports the personal, academic and social development of students at Queen’s University by providing a range of programs and services appropriate to student needs. 
 Found in LaSalle
 Open Monday – Friday, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm

Student Academic Success Services (SASS)
Student Academic Success Services comprises Learning Strategies and the Writing Centre. We offer academic support to  students who wish to develop their skills in critical thinking, reading, learning, studying, writing, and self-management.

Student Academic Success Services - Writing Center
The Writing Centre offers free one-to-one consultations, specialized support for English language learners, group workshops, and other resources directly to students; we also visit classrooms at the request of faculty members to deliver discipline- and course-specific writing workshops specifically tailored to that group’s writing needs.

ASUS Peer Tutors
Apply to be tutored by an upper year who got an A in the course. This is the cheapest tutoring service on campus!

Peer Academic Support Services (PASS)
The PASS team consists of upper year students who offer non-judgemental and confidential academic counselling on a drop-in basis in the Arts and Science Office.
 Found in the main floor of Dunning Hall.
 Open Monday to Friday, from 9am until noon, and 1pm until 4.
